I’ve gained broad experience in helping seniors find their ideal retirement homes. Moving into a retirement village often comes with mixed feelings. I take the time to listen to my clients’ concerns and make the process as easy as possible.
Tell us about the area you specialise in and what you love about it.
The aspect of my job I love the most is working with senior citizens. I go out of my way to help them in any way I can and make sure that they find a home that will meet all their needs. The thing I love most about the specific retirement villages that I specialise in is the wide variety of activities and social events that they offer. Country Life Retirement Village and Village Walk Retirement Village both offer an array of cultural activities and opportunities for residents to get some exercise.
What are your secrets for helping people buy, sell or rent property?
The secret to my success is simple: make sure the property your client is buying or renting is what they’re looking for. Ask relevant questions and give them advice to help them ensure that they are making the right decision.
What advice would you give somebody looking to buy their first property?
Make sure the property is what you’re looking for. If you’re buying a retirement property (or a sectional title), look at what the complex as a whole has to offer, as well as the individual unit that you’re interested in buying. If you’re buying into a retirement village, find out if you like the dining room and whether the frail care services on offer will meet your needs, both now and in the future.
