Hi! I’m a property practitioner for the CSi Property Group, specialising in properties in Kibler Park, Kempton Park and other parts of Johannesburg.

What are your secrets for helping people buy, sell or rent property?

I believe the key is listening. I take time to understand exactly what each client is looking for and what they can afford. I ask important questions like “are you planning to live here or invest?” and “Do you have a family, or are you single?”. Once I understand their needs, I guide them with honesty. I always make it clear that my main priority is helping them make the right decision – one they will be happy with in the long term.

What advice would you give somebody looking to buy or rent a property?

I often advise young professionals – especially those around 25 – to consider investing in property as early as possible. Owning property means building long-term wealth. If you buy property early in life and work hard to finish paying off the bond before retirement, you’ll be able to enjoy your pension years without worrying about paying off a home. If you buy to invest initially, then a tenant can help you pay off the bond.
