What are your secrets for helping people buy, sell or rent property?

For me, integrity and honesty aren’t just nice-to-have qualities. They’re the foundation of every relationship, especially between a property practitioner and a client. When someone trusts you to handle the sale or purchase of what’s often their biggest investment, that trust deserves to be treated with accountability and trust.

The key to giving the right advice is listening to what a client truly wants and putting yourself in your client’s shoes. You need to understand their hopes, their concerns and what this move really means for them.

What advice would you give somebody looking to buy or rent a property?

Buying your first home is a milestone and it’s important to recognise just how significant that decision is. As exciting as it is to take this step, you need to make sure you’re financially ready for the commitment. The thrill of owning a home can sometimes make it easy to overlook practical details like maintenance costs and bond registration fees. By helping clients understand these factors early on, I find it’s much easier to set realistic expectations and avoid unnecessary stress.
